First a little history on the monkey chant… or Kecak… from wikipedia.
Kecak (pronounced: /‘ke.tʃak/, roughly “KEH-chahk”, alternate spellings: Ketjakand , Ketjack), a form of Balinese music drama, originated in the 1930s and is performed primarily by men. Also known as the Ramayana Monkey Chant, the piece, performed by a circle of 100 or more performers wearing checked cloth around their waists, percussively chanting “cak” and throwing up their arms, depicts a battle from the Ramayana where…

How does the land speak to you?
In our way of life… with every decision we make, we always keep in mind the seventh generation of children to come. When we walk upon earth mother, we always plant our feet carefully, because we know that the faces of future generations are looking up at us from beneath the ground. We never forget them.
